Madeline's Story

In 2009, my family and I went to the Humane Society and adopted two kittens, Madeline and Earl, who became best friends.

We adopted them because I was in treatment for cancer, and I wanted a distraction from the months of chemo ahead.

The kittens were a delight every single day and became treasured family members.

In July 2011, we moved into the Silver Creek Country Club; Maddy went missing  the next month.

We immediately began a detailed search, sending an automated lost pet amber alert to neighbors and conducted a detailed search of the neighborhood.

We printed up hundreds of four-color posters and flyers and put them up in a 3 - 5 mile radius from our home.

Unfortunately, gardeners and maintenance people tore down the posters and flyers frequently making it very hard to create sustained awareness.
